Kendall Jenner knows her way around a newsstand: The girl covered a whopping seven international editions of Vogue alone in 2016, and has booked editorials in every conceivable big name glossy, including Katie Grand's Love. The UK-based Condé Nast title is known for launching up-and-coming models' careers into the stratosphere, so it wasn't all too surprising that the magazine announced a talent contest late last year, with the hope of finding the "generation's next icon" — in other words, the next Kendall Jenner — through a social media search. Something that was a bit surprising, however, was that 21-year-old Jenner would not only help narrow down the pool of applicants to 20 finalists, but also shoot the newbies for a Love editorial and the lucky winner for a cover.
On Thursday, Grand took to Instagram to reveal the lucky lady chosen for the top prize: Arianna Singh-Hicks, a 17-year-old high schooler, track-and-field star and aspiring singer from Toronto, Canada. Talk about a teen dream. The beauty already boasts 17.7K followers on the photo sharing platform, so she's well on her way to bonafide Instagirl status. Jenner's image is a sunny, close-up portrait, similar to the one she previously shot of fellow California girl Kaia Gerber for a 2016 issue of the magazine.
Grand teased another image from the upcoming issue, starring fellow pretty young thing Mia Autumn Grace, also shot by Jenner in Los Angeles. So if you're getting tired of seeing the same Insta-famous faces over and over again on the modeling scene, get excited — it looks like there's a whole new class on the verge of breaking out.
Update: On Friday, Love revealed just how super-sized Jenner's project for the magazine is: Not only is her editorial a whopping 72 pages long, there are multiple covers to collect, starring the likes of Kaia Gerber and Hari Nef, as well as a handful of brand new faces. See them all below, and we'll continue to update as images are released.
