The rumors were true: Louis Vuitton is officially collaborating with Supreme, as the first look sent down the runway during its fall 2017 men's runway show on Thursday morning included a bright red Supreme fanny pack.

Creative director Kim Jones hinted at the idea of a possible collaboration at the start of the new year when he posted (and then deleted) a photo on Instagram. More photos also leaked online by fans who heavily keep track of Supreme.

In an interview with WWD, Jones calls Supreme a "massive global phenomenon." He also recalled his first memories of the skate and streetwear brand as a student working in a shop in London. "I just feel that the strength of their graphic versus the strength of the Louis Vuitton graphic, and that kind of Pop Art feeling — it works together perfectly," says Jones. That "pop art feeling" is nothing new for the French house, which has partnered with artists like Scott Campbell, Takashi Murakami and Yayoi Kusama in the past.

The aforementioned fanny pack is one of six handbag styles included in the Louis Vuitton x Supreme collection, along with a backpack, holdall and messenger bag. Denim baseball jerseys, jackets and scarves are printed with a mix of LV monograms and the Supreme box logo; plus, a red Louis Vuitton bespoke trunk is home to a monogram skateboard and matching tool kit.

Like Marc Jacobs collaborating with artist Stephen Sprouse during his time at Louis Vuitton, as well as Gucci's Alessandro Michele teaming up with graffiti artist Gucci Ghost, Jones is the latest director of major fashion house to tap into street and pop culture. Though mostly associated with current events, Demna Gvasalia recently took inspiration from Bernie Sanders's presidential campaign for Balenciaga's fall 2017 men's collection.

So when will this Louis Vuitton x Supreme collection drop? On Monday, July 17, at select Louis Vuitton stores and possibly additional temporary locations. "We'll probably make separate stores in areas where both of them are popular," says Jones. See you in SoHo this summer then?
