Bella and Gigi Hadid have snagged yet another ad campaign in the latest string of spring 2017 unveilings. In addition to the Fendi shots revealed on Tuesday, the sisters' streak continues with Moschino, which Jeremy Scott debuted on Instagram on Thursday.
Photographed by Steven Meisel and styled by Carlyne Cerf de Dudzeele, the Hadids are surrounded by a slew of posed paparazzi. The campaign also ties in with collection's inspiration from Jacqueline Susann's 1966 novel "Valley of the Dolls": the in-your-face photo opps are visual notes for celebrity and fame, while both sisters wore evening gowns that could pass for paper doll dresses. Gigi, who opened Moschino's runway show in Milan, also models a few trompe l'oeil T-shirt dresses, which remind us of those airbrushed bikini body shirts you'd likely find at the beach.
Though prescription pills also played a role in Moschino's latest collection — show invites were pill bottles filled with capsules (candy) and an RX slip from "Dr. Moschino" – no signs of the controversial design detail is included in the campaign. In October of last year, the literal capsule collection was pulled from Nordstrom's shelves after customers complained that the pieces glamorized pill addiction.
As for the Hadids, we have a feeling we'll be seeing a lot more of them as more campaigns continue to come along for spring 2017. In the meantime, click through the gallery below to see more from Moschino.
