Hey, did you hear? Awards season gets started on Sunday with the alcohol-laden pageant that is the Golden Globes, and we're doing our best to show up prepared. (Our "Rocky" montage would include dramatized scenes of editors hunching over keyboards and galloping to the local spirits store to procure wine.) But the Red Carpet Fun already — unofficially — kicked off earlier this week with a series of fancy events that included the 2016 National Board of Review Gala on Wednesday in New York City. And plenty of celebrities, like Amy Adams and Octavia Spencer, looked great. But arguably no one looked better than "Moonlight"'s Naomie Harris, who consequently earned herself a spot on our 2016 best dressed list.
Harris wore a cream (!) pantsuit (!!), complete with a silk, deep-V halter top (!!!) and oversized trousers (!!!!), courtesy of Brandon Maxwell (!!!!!). The pieces were, in theory, fairly casual, but in execution, looked entirely luxe. See?
Now that Harris is working with A-list stylist Micaela Erlanger (who is in cahoots with the "It"-est of the "It" brands) and is racking up her fair share of nominations, Harris is positioning herself to become the fashion darling of the season. Here's hoping.
