Astrophysicist and "StarTalk" host Neil deGrasse Tyson joined forces with Science Guy and beauty buff Bill Nye for the New York City screening of romantic sci-fi "The Space Between Us" on Wednesday night. While each science enthusiast is famous in their own right, the two definitely share a love for personal style. Tyson is known for his cosmos-inspired vests and neckties, while Nye's affinity towards patterned bow ties has garnered a collaboration with menswear brand Nick Graham. And for the record, Tyson boasts his own fair share of fashion gigs, too: In 2014, he helped Ermenegildo Zegna Couture with a virtual space film for the fashion house's fall 2014 runway show.
At the film's special event, the duo showed off two distinct approaches to red carpet dressing. Nye went the more dapper route with a black silk suit, while Tyson opted for a blazer-and-jeans look that's more, "I'm a cool dad, but also fun and I can explain space travel and Halley's Comet to you if you're interested."
During New York Fashion Week: Men's, which kicks off next week, Nye will make an appearance at Graham's fall 2017 show, titled "Life on Mars: Fall-Winter 2035." While Nye will narrate the show, 86-year-old space veteran Buzz Aldrin of Apollo 11 will walk the runway, which makes us wonder if it's too late to cast or invite Tyson, as well? He obviously knows how to entertain a crowd.
By the way, this photo is *screaming* for a buddy comedy. Can someone start writing this up? We need it right now more than ever.
