Last week, Page Six reported that the female-led film "Ocean's 8" will feature a scene replicating the Met Gala, including cameos from Anna Wintour and other fashion-industry icons: Alexander Wang, Zac Posen, Derek Blasberg and Lauren Santo Domingo. On Monday, Kim Kardashian West, dressed in Givenchy, and Kendall Jenner in Elie Saab couture, also made the trip to New York City to visit the "Ocean's 8" set and participate in the Vogue party scene. Page Six also reports that Kardashian West's role will involve a jewelry theft in the Metropolitan Museum of Art's bathroom. (Though we have to wonder if a wrench will additionally be involved.)
On Tuesday night, we received a tip about the latest fashion cameos allegedly in the works for "Ocean's 8," including designer Tommy Hilfiger (with his wife, Dee Hilfiger), Jason Wu, Jonathan Simkhai and Dennis Basso. Models Liu Wen, Hailey Baldwin and Cindy Bruna are also set to appear, as well as Vogue's favorite rapper Desiigner and Kylie Jenner's boyfriend Tyga. But the list of people playing themselves in the film doesn't stop there: There's also Maria Sharapova, Olivia Munn, athletes Nick Mangold and Matt Harvey, Pussy Riot's Nadya Tolokonnikova, the Winkelvoss twins Cameron and Tyler, singer Rainey Qualley and Genius co-founder/Audrey Gelman's husband Ilan Zechory. An actor named Kevin Brown gets the lucky gig of playing a security guard at the Met Gala, too.
In addition, one Zayn Malik (!) is also expected to make a cameo, taking his film career to the next level after the cinematic classic "One Direction: This Is Us." From his Met Gala debut last year, we can't confirm that Gigi Hadid will also appear on the "Ocean's 8" red carpet set just yet, but wouldn't that be an adorable reenactment?
