Brooklyn Beckham, resident 17-year-old casanova and eldest member of the Beckham brood, is the star of Wonderland's Spring 2017 issue, which sports the cover line "Ain't a boy no more...". To Wonderland's credit, they're right about that: Beckham has grown the hell up since we first began writing about him in November 2013. (According to the archives, Fashionista's first story about Victoria and David's first-born featured the headline, "Victoria Beckham's 14-Year-Old Son Is on Track to Be a Total Heartbreaker." Prescient.) Over the past four years, Beckham has checked all of the necessary boxes associated with being a budding celebrity offspring: He's sat front row at his mother's runway shows, landed his first cover shoot and dated a fellow Cool Teen™. Now, it seems, Beckham is ready to leave behind the channels of adolescence for *pounds chest* manhood. A studly Wonderland editorial is a great way to go about just that.
Shot by Christian Oita, the spread features Beckham in a range of labels, from all-American brands like Levi's and Calvin Klein Jeans to those of the more high-end variety, including Gucci, Saint Laurent Paris and Burberry. In the interesting case of the latter, he wears a striped, long-sleeved Burberry T-shirt — from the British fashion house's latest February 2017 collection, shown in London on Monday — on the cover. When Beckham's shoot was revealed over the weekend, the Breton tee had only been available for pre-order; now, just one day after the brand's London Fashion Week show, it can be purchased for £295 (about $366) at Burberry.com.
For Burberry, this particular editorial branch of "see now, buy now" seems to be working. Earlier this month, Kendall Jenner photographed Hailee Steinfeld in a £1,295 cable-knit sweater from the same February 2017 collection for Love Magazine. And the day after Burberry's show last season, Elle UK unveiled its October issue starring Lily James in a full look from its September 2016 collection.
