About the Role

We are seeking a Customer Service Associate to join our rapidly growing team as we work to innovate and re-imagine the fashion resale experience. As our Customer Service Associate, you will be responsible for supporting our customers while they shop and as they use our fashion trade-in service. You will be the first point of contact for our Customer Service department, with a goal of exceeding customer expectations. You will be required to interface with customers on the phone and via email so strong written and verbal communication skills are a must. The ideal candidate is customer centric to the extreme. The ability to work independently and within a team will also be key for success within this position. This role is cross functional and requires a high level of communication with both customers and our internal Operations and Merchandising teams. We are seeking candidates with sophisticated communication skills and a background in fashion, retail, and/or communications.

All items find a new home through our eCommerce shop where they will be re-worn with love or are donated to our charity partner Housing Works.

  • Provide excellent customer support and facilitate both the shopping and trade-in experiences
  • Work closely with the Customer Service team to troubleshoot shipping delays and carrier claims
  • Build rapport with customers and interface with them via phone and email
  • Maintain our SLA of 1-2 business day turnaround on all customer emails and calls
  • Review and maintain a high quality standard for all customer procedures
  • Think critically about how to impact overall process and streamline customer processes

Skills and Requirements

  • Recent grad with internship or work experience in fashion, retail, e-commerce or a related field
  • Must be seeking a fast paced startup work environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively in a professional and customer-centric manner
  • Possesses customer empathy and patience
  • Self-starter who’s flexible and can stay organized while prioritizing multiple and sometimes conflicting tasks
  • Problem solver with the goal of always exceeding customer expectations
  • Ability to work both independently and with a team
  • Previous Customer Service experience a plus
  • Experience with eBay a plus, but not required
