There's a reason designers (and their PR teams) take the time to plan the front row at a fashion show. People have always wanted to see who gets the best seats in the house — and of course, what they're wearing. And with social media documenting every move, it's no surprise that there's a lot of pressure for a picture-perfect front row.
Some front row-regulars this season went the whimsical route, as demonstrated by Alexa Chung in cherry-print Altuzarra and Petra Collins in a heart-cutout sweater by Proenza Schouler, while others went for a full-on, capital "F" Fashion moment. Notable appearances include Frances Bean Cobain in feathery lace at Marc Jacobs and Diane Kruger in an asymmetrical purple gown by Prabal Gurung. We would complain that a front row this good is almost distracting from the clothes coming down the runway, but then again, it's pretty hard to be up in arms over an all-smiles A$AP Rocky stealing the show.
