The phrase "Insta-bait" is thrown around quite frequently during fashion month, but one of the closing shows in Paris, Miu Miu, really took it to a whole new level. For its Fall 2017 show, the Italian label clearly wanted to keep things funky, as it covered the columns and stairs of the Palais d'Iéna in purple faux fur, offering guests one hell of a photo opp. Because this is Miu Miu we're talking about, the clothing that came down the runway was a feast for the eyes, as well, from fuzzy, candy-colored coats to the sparkly minidresses that closed the show. It was a mix that only Miuccia Prada could pull off, and we are here for it.

Prada kicked it old-school for fall, with hints of '70s and '80s hip-hop inspiration permeating both the collection and the soundtrack, which included songs from artists like De La Soul and the Treacherous Three scratched together, Grandmaster Flash-style. The opening looks were all about the fur, with fluffy outerwear cinched at the waist with bedazzled belts and eye-popping accessories like voluminous newsboy hats, fur-covered rainboots and elbow-length gloves. Feminine staples were given the signature off-kilter Miu Miu treatment: Oxford shoes were toughened up with lug soles; scholastic staples like cardigans, striped skirts and plaid outerwear were done up in kooky color combinations and accented with jeweled patches and embroideries; classic trench coats came in completely see-through clear plastic; head-to-toe prints were aplenty, with graphics including cats (!), retro rotary phones and peacocks; and many looks were accented with built-in, blinged-out collars that could turn even a basic sweater into a statement piece.

In keeping with the hip-hop spirit, sporty puffer coats were also a key Miu Miu item for fall; while they all had multicolored stripes, some were accented with patches of brown shearling and others had oversize collars made with rich-looking fur. The eveningwear ranged from simple, silk dresses with Chrysanthemum petal-like skirts, to loud, paillette numbers that offered no shortage of shine. The accessories were bold, too, with fur, crystal buckles and satin making up the majority of the footwear options. No matter how you shake it, this collection is filled with "Insta-moments" waiting to happen. Street style stars, start your engines.
