I, like many human females in 2017, have a relatively complicated relationship with shaving. With fair skin and dark hair, I'm not the kind of girl who goes without shaving unnoticed. Growing up as a teen in a perpetually warm climate with sensitive skin, I resented this but didn't really see any way around it. But then in early adulthood, I stopped shaving my armpits for a few years (including the summer of my first internship at a luxury fashion publication, where I frequently wore sleeveless tops. It can be done).

That pile of TMI is all to say, I will be the last person in the world to tell you that you "should" shave. But for the times that I do want to — because let's face it, sometimes I still like how a clean-shaven leg looks and feels — this Rituals body scrub has become my go-to.

My legs used to get red or itchy a few days after shaving, even if I moisturized really well, but this scrub has totally changed that. All I do is rub it in right before getting out of the shower, and the combination of exfoliation and oil-based hydration keeps me smooth and reaction-free for days. So while I might not be completely sold on the being totally hairless all the time thing, I am pretty thoroughly sold on this scrub.
