Cara Delevingne Is a Trippy Cartoon for Chanel's Gabrielle Bag Ad Campaign

Watch the animated film starring the muse, model... and skater.

Just when you thought Cara Delevingne's high-fashion gigs have taken a backseat as she pursues her film and writing career, Chanel released its latest short film, starring the model and muse, to promote the launch of its new handbag style, the Gabrielle, on Monday. Earlier this month, the French fashion house debuted the first clip of its ad campaign with an eerie short film of longtime brand ambassador Kristen Stewart.

As for Delevingne, who recently posed with a wild cat (again) for Puma's spring campaign, Japanese director Shishi Yamazaki transformed the 24-year-old into a trippy cartoon. Dressed in the kind of streetwear-heavy, beanie-topped outfit that made us fall for Delevingne in the first place, the model spots the Gabrielle hanging from a tree and runs over to it. Once she retrieves her beloved handbag, she hops on her skateboard — yes, skater culture is still a thing in fashion — and ollies and kickflips her way into some variation of an animated psychedelic sunset. Watch and enjoy the entire short film in the video above.
