Beauty tutorials are big on YouTube — a search for "makeup tutorial" and "hair tutorial" yields more than five million videos. In this weekly series, we put a mix of popular and under-the-radar tutorials to the test and show you what's best.

Do yourself a favor: Never, ever google "Coachella hair tutorial" — trust me. There are plenty of horrors (predictably, of the flower crown/cultural appropriation persuasion) to be discovered there. So as a sort of festival-themed public service, (in addition to Fashionista's own PSA), I tracked down a video with three different hairstyles that are each equal parts festival-appropriate and chill. Each one is a definite step up from your average ponytail or braid, but not ridiculously so. After all, a day spent in a hot, sweaty desert shouldn't necessitate hours of styling or an arsenal of hot tools. 

Even better, each of these looks would work fairly well on hair that hasn't been washed for a day (or more), making them ideal for festival season — or lazy people in general.
