Diane Kruger is never not chic. So, of course, if anyone can make a bustier and choker (worn together) look elegant, it's her. While attending the Montblanc & UNICEF Gala Dinner at the New York Public Library on Monday, the actress wore a black Roberto Cavalli ensemble that included both a leopard-print bustier and a choker — and, yes, she managed to make it look sophisticated.
The look included a corset with a subtle leopard print on the bodice and tulle inserts, which Kruger paired with black wool trousers with a velvet and chain waistband from the designer's Fall 2017 collection.
Accessory-wise, Kruger kept it fairly simple with a diamond choker, box clutch and pointy black pumps. She also threw a thumb ring in there to keep things interesting.
Let's also take a closer look at the hair and makeup: Kruger's neither-matte-nor-shiny Bordeaux lip, groomed brows and perfectly on-trend blunt bob balance out the fact that there's kind of a lot going on with her clothes.
We're not saying we'll be rushing to wear a leopard-print, lace, deep-V corset anytime soon, but we're glad that Kruger did, because — damn.
