We've been rather vocal advocates for Harry Styles on this website, both in terms of how he angelically operates as a person and, more professionally, how he chooses to wear clothing. With a fresh, tasty single now out and a whole album on the way, Styles's long-awaited renaissance is here. And true to form, he went big (see also: his Another Man editorial which now wallpapers our office) to do so: as the musical guest on "Saturday Night Live"'s first-ever live coast-to-coast show.
We likely don't need to tell you he wore Gucci during his two-song set, but he did and it was excellent. Though the plaid suit (from Alessandro Michele's Fall 2017 collection) was not quite as loud as some of the other more eccentric get-ups we've seen him in in the past, it was the perfect point of entry for a performance of this size and nature. For "Sign of the Times," he kept the double-breasted, slightly cropped jacket on, but for the premiere of his newest, "Ever Since New York," he removed it to let a silky blouse breathe free against some guitar work (!).
Styles wore the latest Gucci for his bumpers (as shot by "SNL" photographer Mary Ellen Matthews), too: a decidedly flashier pink satin blouse with a fluffy pussy-bow necktie.
