I vowed to branch out and try a new scent from Jo Malone this spring. And I'll wear that one, I promise. But in my heart of hearts, Jo Malone Blackberry & Bay will always be my fragrance one true love of the season. I technically wear it year-round — I literally never get sick of it — but with the green, fruity-but-somehow-not-sweet notes, it's pretty much spring in a bottle. I liken it to a breath of fresh air, if that air was chic and British.
Let me paint you a little picture: You're standing in Regent's Park, just outside Buckingham Palace. (You're also dressed exactly like Alexa Chung, obviously.) You close your eyes and catch a warm breeze, which somehow carries with it a whiff of tart berries and gentle cedarwood. That's what this scent evokes. Whatever, you probably can't picture that, but just trust me when I say it's energizing and airy and thoroughly pleasant.
There's nothing I hate more in a perfume than an overly sweet, heavy floral. This one is about as far away from that as you can possibly get, which is why I'll keep coming back to it again and again.
Dear Jo Malone Blackberry & Bay, Never change! ILY! xoxo, Steph.
