These are the stories making headlines in fashion this Tuesday.

LVMH revenue is up 15 percent in the first quarter of 2017
On Monday, the French luxury conglomerate and parent company to Louis Vuitton, Marc Jacobs, Givenchy, Céline and Kenzo announced its strongest quarterly growth in five years, achieving sales of 9.9 billion euros — a 13-percent jump from the same period last year. However, LVMH was careful to point out that this favorable growth may not reflect what's to come in the rest of 2017, as its early numbers in 2016 were negatively effected by the Paris attacks that took place in November 2015. {Fashionista Inbox}

Toms and & Other Stories reveal a one-for-one collaboration
The two brands have teamed up to create a Venice Beach-inspired collection for spring, featuring brand new interpretations of Toms classic shoe styles and mix-and-match ready-to-wear available in stores and online on Tuesday. The lookbook is modeled by Erin Wasson, and in keeping with Toms' traditional business model, one pair of shoes will be donated for every one purchased. {& Other Stories}

The CFDA and are calling for critical immigration policy reform
On Monday, the CFDA and revealed a joint report that delves into the necessity of immigration reform — particularly in regards to its effect on the fashion business. Due to the U.S.'s outdated and difficult immigration system, the American fashion industry is at risk of losing high percentages of its workforce (specifically workers who are undocumented) as well top international talent and students, including those who study at stateside fashion schools and those who are highly trained at skills like tailoring, sewing pattern making and more.
