Naomi Watts's red carpet looks are often classically elegant, but usually also have a certain element of playfulness. At an event on Monday for The Turtle Conservancy (no doubt a worthy cause, who doesn't love turtles?), Watts stayed true to her personal style with a dress from Miu Miu's Fall 2017 collection.
The look, a tea-length pale blush dress paired with matching shoes, was styled by Watt's longtime stylist Jeanann Williams. The a red accent at the collar balances out the frilliness of the ruffled yoke for an effect that seems simultaneously vintage (there are definite '40s vibes) and fresh (thanks to the unexpected color pairing and sharpness of the collar).
While Watts's no-makeup makeup and tousled hairstyle are both quite pretty, the real stand-out of her beauty look, if you ask me, was her nail color choice. Deep, almost-black burgundy is unexpected for this time of year, and on Watts's short nails, it provides the perfect visual counterbalance to the pastel dress.
