Sunscreen may not be a particularly sexy item, but as dermatologists, beauty editors and vampires alike will tell you, it's crucial if you want to avoid skin cancer and/or leatherface. As someone who would ideally like to avoid both, I make a point out of using a good, broad-spectrum sunscreen with an SPF of at least 30 every single day. And you should, too! If you're someone who avoids it because you think it's chalky/greasy/smells weird/has sketchy chemicals in it, allow me to introduce you to the product that will prove to you, once and for all, that not all sunscreens are created equal.
This formula from Paula's Choice packs anti-agers, protective antioxidants, mattifiers and mineral-based, broad-spectrum SPF 30 all into one tiny tube. It lends a smooth, velvety finish to skin, feels completely weightless and has no scent whatsoever. In other words, once it's on, you can completely forget about it. It does, however, have a pale, almost hummus-like tint to it, which helps to ever-so-subtly even out my skin tone; the brand promises it won't look chalky, even on dark skin tones, though given my own vampire-like complexion, I can't attest to that from personal experience.
From the first time I tried it, I knew it would be a game-chancer for my skin-care routine. Now I use a tiny dab of it every single day (after my moisturizer but before my makeup) and I'll never look back.
