Revolve's Brand New Nightlife Label Is Inspired by Social Supermodels

It includes a dress that looks similar to Kendall Jenner's chain-mail 21st-birthday ensemble.

Few retailers "get" the social media influencer space better than Revolve, so it comes as no surprise that H:ours, the newest brand launched by its manufacturing leg Alliance Apparel, is inspired by just that. Per a press release, the company looked to the "social media influence of sexy supermodels and jet-setting socialites — the girls who come to life in the after hours when the night is darkest and paparazzi are on the prowl," to be exact. Alliance Apparel also manufactures LPA, Lovers + Friends and Tularosa, and was acquired by Revolve in 2015.

H:ours was designed with Instagram in mind, and the debut collection comprises body-hugging dresses and bodysuits that leave little to the imagination, but that don't come across as — for lack of a better term — trashy. "There isn't a brand out there that does extremely sexy but incredibly chic at the same time," explains Revolve's Chief Brand Officer Raissa Gerona in a statement. "H:ours is made for those girls who just get it." Prices range from $98 to $338, making it a solid option for the next bachelorette party or wild night in the club you have planned.

One sexy supermodel in particular likely inspired the line's most head-turning dress, a silver chain-mail mini with a plunging neckline and back: Kendall Jenner wore a nearly identical (and one-of-a-kind) dress on her 21st birthday last November. Of course, Jenner's dress was inspired by one worn by jet-setting socialite Paris Hilton 14 years earlier, because time is a flat circle.

Given Jenner's influence, we have no doubt that many girls have been on the hunt for a similar dress, and that this number, which retails for $298, won't be in stock for long — especially after the launch party the brand has planned for Wednesday night at the new West Coast outpost of Avenue nightclub in Los Angeles, which is sure to be filled with Instagirls wearing the line. Hopefully attendees don't party too hard, as we're willing to bet the majority of them are heading out to the desert for Coachella less than 48 hours later.
