We've long admired Tamron Hall's penchant for designer looks and striking ensembles (see here, here, here and here, for example), but her latest outfit choice might be our favorite so far. On Wednesday night, the reporter and television host made an appearance at BAM in Brooklyn to speak with André Leon Talley, who's kicking off his own weekly talk show for SiriusXM. That's awesome news for ALT, but we're here to talk about Ms. Hall. Look at her!
Let's break it down: Hall is wearing head-to-toe Balenciaga from Demna Gvasalia's Spring 2017 collection, which was heavy on the couture spandex. The pink-and-purple combination, originally modeled by Alek Wek on the runway, has become an editorial favorite among stylists and is quite popular on magazine covers this season. We've also seen the thigh-high, spandex-like boots on almost everyone, from celebrities (most recently, Kylie Jenner) to street style stars during fashion month. It's a tricky look to pull off, that's for sure; we even gave the bold and bright spandex leggings — made popular by Balenciaga — a try ourselves. Trust us when we tell you: it was not easy.
But it's a piece of cake for Hall. And we love it. The fashion-savvy woman shared her #ootd on Instagram, too, with the caption that included, "#balenciaga #purple 💜💜💜 Color of greatness." Is this who Kanye West was talking about when he wrote the lyrics, "Bow in the presence of greatness?" We'd like to think so.
