There's something about Easter that makes my buzzcut-wearing, DIY denim-loving, clunky Doc Marten-devotee self start eyeing wardrobe items that I would usually overlook. In the context of celebrating new life and spring and birds twittering outside the window and flower buds bursting out of tree branches, I find myself wanting my wardrobe to somehow reflect it all.
This sweater from ethical label Tempest + Bentley feels like the perfect find with all that considered. The pretty pastel hue is appropriately seasonal, but the asymmetrical shoulder cutout feels just off-kilter enough to keep it from seeming too precious. I'm a fan of the cropped fit, too, which would make this sweater go well with everything from high-waisted destroyed denim to a voluminous midi skirt, depending on my mood. I'd probably still throw in a leather jacket and chunky black shoes to give it some edge, either way. Now if only the cream version of the sweater would come back in stock, so I could wear it every other season of the year, too...
Tempest + Bentley cable pullover, $825, available at Maison de Mode
