Someone's getting fired (probably).

Every fashion girl (or guy) dreads the possibility of showing up somewhere wearing the same getup as another person. Total cold-sweat nightmare material, amiright?

Thankfully, there are more than enough clothes in this world to ensure that this sort of situation happens only rarely — especially when it comes to red carpet dressing. But every so often, the odds don't fall in our favor. And Thursday at the 70th annual Cannes Film Festival, the fashion gods were not smiling down on two famous ladies in particular.

At the premiere of Russian drama "Loveless (Nelyubov)," formerly controversial teenage French model/L'Oréal ambassadress Thylane Blondeau and Russian actress Svetlana Ustinova showed up wearing the same damn ~whimsical~ Dior dress from the label's Spring 2017 ready-to-wear collection. Ustinova's had a waist band; Blondeau's did not. But otherwise, SAME.

There are sadly no silly photos of Blondeau and Ustinova jokingly pointing at one another, or pretending to bop each other over the head in a faux fit of rage, so we can pretty much rule out that they called each other the night before and planned to dress like #twinsies, second grade-style. Still, it's not a frock we'd soon forget, considering it's covered in doodles, embroidery and little pearl pimples — not to mention that it's the exact shade of drab beige worn by Fantine when she succumbs to TB. Sorry?

That said, both women look absolutely stunning from the neck up. Big up to their respective glam squads.

Anyway, we won't bother posing that awful "who wore it better" question, because the answer is, obviously... neither. We can do better, ladies (including you, Maria Grazia Chiuri)! There's always next time.
