Welcome to our column, "Hey, Quick Question," where we investigate seemingly random happenings in the fashion and beauty industries. Enjoy!

On Wednesday morning, photographers captured urban cowboy Justin Bieber strolling around New York City like he'd just watched "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid" — or perhaps more appropriately, "Fievel Goes West" — for the first time. Which he definitely, 100 percent did, right? Wearing a crisp cowboy hat, Bieber gave a whole new meaning to the phrase, "This town ain't big enough for the two of us," which he probably said to paparazzi as he sidestepped out of the car.

In addition to his newfound appreciation for gold rush culture, Bieber paired the hat with a piece from his latest merch drop, now going on its 15th month. The varsity jacket, which comes in a dijon-y yellow — or, perhaps, "ride off into the sunset" orange — is adorned with assorted patches and has "Bieber" spelled out on the back. It isn't exactly something we'd expect to have seen Billy the Kid wearing during his infamous escape from jail, but hey, we're all for new traditions here.
