It's been no more than four days since the debut of Louis Vuitton's Cruise 2018 collection, which took place in Japan right outside of Kyoto — and while we're usually aware of red carpet regulars wearing fresh-off-the-runway looks, this might just be one of the quickest turnarounds yet. On Thursday, Michelle Williams wore a look from the latest Louis Vuitton collection at the 2017 Cannes Film Festival photo call for her new film "Wonderstruck."

As a longtime supporter and friend of Nicolas Ghesquière, Williams was front row at the French house's show earlier this week, which means the actress jetted off to France shortly after with brand-new Louis Vuitton in tow. It's a label that Williams wears on the red carpet time and time again, but we must admit that this is one of our favorites. The short-and-structured silhouette is perfect for Williams's petite frame — and gives us slight Balenciaga Spring 2008 vibes, too — while the ruffled cap sleeves nicely complement the dress's wavy, floral motif. Stylist Kate Young kept the rest of Williams's ensemble to a minimum — no jewelry and a pair of classic sandal heels — proving that simple can really go a long way.

With 10 more days of Cannes left, the red carpet is already off to a great start.
