Paris Jackson is right on track to reach fashion supernova stature, and now she has the end-all, be-all of contracts to prove it: On Friday, Page Six reported that the 19-year-old "It" girl — and daughter of the late King of Pop — has inked a seven-figure deal to be the new face of Calvin Klein. (Representatives for Calvin Klein did not immediately respond to our request for comment.)
The IMG Models signee left us a crumb of a clue at Monday's Met Gala, during which she arrived as Fashion Gawd Raf Simons' date wearing Calvin Klein — a power move for anyone, let alone a burgeoning talent like Jackson. And for her first Met Gala, she was in good company in the Calvin Klein crew alongside a number of industry heavy-hitters, including Julianne Moore, A$AP Rocky, Gwyneth Paltrow and "Moonlight"'s Ashton Sanders, not to mention Simons himself.
Page Six reports that in addition to solidifying her acting chops — she was just cast in her feature film debut opposite Charlize Theron and David Oyelowo — Jackson is revving up her fashion credentials, too, having also reportedly just shot the cover of Vogue Australia this week.
A source told Page Six:
This deal is to make Paris the new face and body of Calvin Klein. The deal — which is just about to be signed — is huge, worth seven figures, many millions. Expect to see Paris in huge ad campaigns and on many red carpets in Calvin Klein.
Now: a fashion contract; next: the world, probably.
