I'm not a morning person. Never have been and probably never will be. My face and attitude before 12 p.m. are proof: Puffy eyes and the inability (but really, laziness) to speak. To fix the latter, it's a cup a coffee;  for the former issue, it's these Sephora eye masks. The makeup retailer offers this product in a variety of formulations, but I usually go for the version that's made up of natural pomegranate, solidago virgaurea (also known as goldenrod) and broccoli extracts for anti-fatigue and energizing benefits. At only $5 a pop, I tend to buy these by the handful, and they most recently came in handy during my first-ever Coachella experience.

You see, the music festival takes place on the Empire Polo Club's polo grounds in the desert, which means there's a lot of grass, pollen and dust. It's a great open field that's perfect for fangirl-ing to Gucci Mane and Kendrick Lamar, but also a not-so-perfect situation for a fangirl with terrible seasonal allergies. Bandanas sure do help while you're there, but every morning I found myself ridden with congestion and swollen eyes. Not cute. So, I would start each day that weekend with a pair of these eye masks. (Luckily, I brought three packs of 'em and stored them in my hotel room's mini fridge.) Over the course of 15 minutes, I would pop an antihistamine and some trusty nasal spray while the cold thin cloths worked their magic. My allergic reaction would eventually transform into wide-awake eyes. I was ready to take on Coachella Valley yet again.

Back in New York, these eye masks come in handy during wedding season, early morning appointments and if I ever want to fool someone into thinking that I enjoy waking up early. Shhh.
