We're all very excited for "The Beguiled," the upcoming film about a twisted Confederate girls' boarding school (and Sofia Coppola's first project in four years). But it seems that our enthusiasm for the movie is nothing compared to that of the cast's, all of whom, as Elle Fanning recently told Vogue, developed a close friendship while on set in New Orleans.
On Wednesday, five months after production wrapped, Coppola got the band back together for a low-key reunion to celebrate the film's Cannes premiere. For the occasion, the cast showed up in some of their finest looks to date, including Nicole Kidman in beaded Michael Kors Collection, Kirsten Dunst in draped Schiaparelli Couture and Coppola herself in a magically red carpet-appropriate skirt suit. But no one looked cuter than Fanning — which, admittedly, is an evergreen statement — in an enormous tulle Rodarte princess gown, her hair pulled back with an extra-long black velvet ribbon.

Did the group coordinate their looks around a sweet, candyfloss color palette for the sole purpose that they could take aesthetically pleasing group shots together, like they're about to pile into a stretch limo to head off to prom?
If anything, this lovefest only made me want to see the movie more (which interested parties can do when it hits theaters June 23). That's good marketing.
