At this point, I think it's safe to say we're all looking for pretty much the same jeans, right? Something high-waisted, vintage-inspired, cropped, straight-leg or slightly flared, and super flattering, especially to the rear end? Welp, I found them, and no I did not have to dig through any Los Angeles flea markets (which I'm totally going to do one day, when I have time and am not tired).
Once again, they're at Aritzia. The brand just opened its first Los Angeles flagship and all the girls in it couldn't stop raving about how good these jeans are, which is a classic retail trick, but I bit, and fell in love as soon as I tried them on. They are an exclusive collaboration between Wilfred (one of Aritizia's various in-house lines) and designer denim brand Citizens of Humanity, and they tick every one of the boxes listed above, to perfection.
Of course, perfection will cost you. At $235, these jeans aren't cheap, but the quality seems great — the denim is thick and fairly stiff — and the fit is unparalleled. (I'm pretty sure my backside, in particular, has never looked better.) In full disclosure, I bought these with a discount afforded to me by the nature of my job, but I think they're actually worth the retail price.
