Cara Delevingne Wore a Dress With a Completely Sheer Skirt While Saving the Elephants

Add this to the list of things the model-turned-actress (and very few other humans) can pull off.

Things Cara Delevingne (and very few other humans) can pull off: A giant lion finger tattoo; a bald, silver-painted head; edgy tweed. And now we can add "sea foam dress with fully sheer skirt" to that list. At a fundraising event for the Elephant Crisis Fund (co-hosted by Tiffany and Porter Magazine) on Monday, the supermodel wore a blue-green pleated tulle Burberry gown with a completely translucent tiered skirt and requisite matching briefs. In true Delevingne fashion, she made the look even edgier by pairing it with a studded black leather belt, an intense smoky eye and her (still very present!) buzz cut.

Though the event drew a slew of other big-name models — Doutzen Kroes, Arizona Muse, Natalia Vodianova, Naomi Campbell — Delevingne's look was a noteworthy standout, owing both to the unexpected color choice and aforementioned sheerness. A piece from Burberry's Fall 2016 collection (does that make it vintage?), the dress originally debuted on the runway with a long, robe-like overcoat and the same studded belt with which Delevingne paired it.
