We declared ourselves super-fans of Nicolas Ghesquière's Cruise 2018 collection for Louis Vuitton just about the nanosecond it came down the runway, and at the stunning Miho Museum just outside out of Kyoto, Japan, no less. You can probably imagine how delighted we were to see one of our favorites, known sustainability and gender-equality advocate Emma Watson, wearing a piece from said collection at a photo call for her new film, "The Circle," in Paris on Thursday. (As best I can tell, "The Circle" is a movie about how technology owns our souls that I probably won't see because it would cause me crippling anxiety, but I'm sure Watson is fantastic in it!)
The gown, which came toward the tail end of the runway lineup, features a sheer black bodice on top of a white sleeveless graphic tee. Where the dress was presented on the runway with a sheer skirt, Watson chose to add an opaque lining, and swapped clompier ankle boots for dainty Santoni heels.
Though the gown — and the entire collection to which it belongs, actually — have an edgier aesthetic than the princess-perfect Miu Miu gown Watson wore just the night before, she still looks timeless, thanks in no small part to that simple up-do and light smoky eye makeup. Feast your eyes.
May Watson turn to Louis Vuitton again as her publicity tour continues.
