The well-reported rumor that Riccardo Tisci would soon join Versace as creative director seems to have taken a turn. There's now talk that Tisci – who left Givenchy in January after a 12-year tenure – may have signed a non-compete with his former label, though neither he nor Versace has commented on the matter. Virgil Abloh brings politics to Pitti
Speaking to the Times in advance of his debut as a featured designer at Pitti Uomo in Florence Thursday, Off-White's Virgil Abloh says he plans to use the current political climate as inspiration for his presentation — particularly "immigration and the plight of refugees."
