Remember when high-low hemlines first started showing up on runways (and shortly thereafter, in retailers) a few years back? Suddenly it seemed like every skirt or dress was featuring that mini-in-front, maxi-in-back look. While different iterations of the asymmetrical hem are still very much in vogue, that particular "mullet" configuration has felt less than bleeding-edge for awhile now.
That is, until Zendaya showed up to "The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon" wearing this pistachio-colored ensemble from Sies Marjan on Tuesday. The look featured an oversize sweater with fitted sleeves that oh-so-casually dripped off one shoulder, worn over a silky skirt that showcased not only a high-low hemline but also a bunch of hard-to-name danglers (Should we call them wide ribbons? Ties left untied? Skirt streamers? Whatever they are, they looked good). The "Spider-Man: Homecoming" actor paired the ensemble with sparkly Christian Louboutin stilettos, stick-straight hair and simple makeup that left the focus on her glossy lips. Leave it Zendaya to prove that a trend we thought was on its way out isn't over until she says so.
