Chanel's Haute Couture shows are nothing if not a celebrity magnet, and for good reason — who besides princesses and movie stars would ever have cause to wear the $12,000 (or more) dresses parading down the runway? At Chanel's Fall 2017 Haute Couture show on July 4th in Paris, however, celebrities proved that they don't feel the need to get super dressed up to watch fancy fashion make its debut.

Perhaps the most casual of the front row crew was Pharrell Williams, who wore ripped jeans and yellow sneakers with a tie-dye shirt and oversize cardigan. Pharrell wasn't the only one in jeans, though. Liu Wen paired hers with a Chanel T-shirt and simple heels, while Lily Collins and Tracee Ellis Ross jazzed theirs up with slightly more tailored tops. Sofia Coppola went for a dress, but with a chill pink bag and flat shoes, she could almost have been headed to the grocery store — a chic grocery store, but still. Cara Delevingne and Kristen Stewart weren't quite as laid-back, wearing metallic pants and a sequined jumpsuit, respectively, but their shaved heads managed to keep their looks unfussy nonetheless.
