Around here, we like to joke that "it's always fashion week somewhere," but it turns out that statement rings pretty true. While most of us were enjoying some long-awaited beach time or relaxing the long holiday weekend away, the fashion set jetted off to Paris for the Fall 2017 Haute Couture shows. Alongside couture calendar mainstays like Chanel, Dior, Elie Saab and Atelier Versace, New York imports Rodarte and Proenza Schouler debuted their Spring 2018 ready-to-wear collections for the first time in the City of Light — a move that's meant to increase visibility internationally and give the brands a bit of breathing room from the maxed-out New York Fashion Week schedule. In addition, industry favorite Azzedine Alaïa presented his first couture collection in six years, and the front rows were packed with A-listers, from bleach blonde badasses Cara Delevingne and Kristen Stewart at Chanel to Céline Dion, who popped up at several shows and looked very stoked to be there.

Now that the shows have come to a close and we've had some time to digest them, we've rounded up our most memorable runway moments, beauty looks, stunts and more from the Fall 2017 couture season. Check out our superlatives in the gallery below, and catch up on all of our coverage from Paris right here
