There are important milestones in the life of any fashionable, It Couple: Your first front row together, your first Met Gala red carpet, your first designer collaboration. But then there is the milestone so rare, very few couples have stayed together long enough to achieve it: the Vogue cover.
Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik have weathered the paparazzi storms long enough — and avoided the Vogue curse the first time around! — to hit that coveted mark for Vogue's August issue. Shot by Inez and Vinoodh, the PYTs wear the best "gender bending" (read: mostly just menswear inspired) pieces from the Fall 2017 runways from brands like Gucci and Ralph Lauren. It's a great concept, but we're not totally convinced of the idea that the couple is somehow a stellar example of "a new generation embracing gender fluidity," as Vogue's headline claims. Occasionally swapping clothes and wearing floral suiting does not a gender fluid person make.
The shoot also includes Anwar Hadid for some sweet family shots, which makes us wonder: Was Bella busy? We would have loved a Hadid family takeover.
