New York Fashion Week may have already lost a slew of top talents including Proenza Schouler, Rodarte, Monique Lhullier and Thom Browne, but for Spring 2018, the floundering calendar will have gained at least one big designer name. WWD reported on Monday that Rihanna is set to bring Fenty Puma back to New York — where the label debuted for Fall 2016 — after two seasons showing in Paris.

While a representative for Fenty Puma did not immediately respond to Fashionista's request for comment, the brand did issue the following statement to WWD: "After two successful seasons showing during Paris Fashion Week, Rihanna has decided to return to New York and show her Fenty Puma by Rihanna [Spring 2018] collection during NYFW, making this the first time she will present during September NYFW."

So far, details for Fenty Puma's Spring 2018 runway show are scarce, but in the past three seasons, the label has been known to commandeer a number of high-profile show venues, including, in Paris, the Bibliothèque Nationale de France (Fall 2017) and Hôtel Salomon de Rothschild (Spring 2017). As the New York Fashion Week schedule moves farther away from one central location and designers continue to embrace increasingly creative event spaces, we can certainly plan for Fenty Puma to be a highlight of the upcoming NYFW season — wherever it ends up being held.
