The Account Manager will manage the LA team and support the Vice President as well as the bi-coastal VIP services team in executing and facilitating celebrity requests and initiatives for clients.

Title: Account Manager, LA
Position Reports To: Vice President, LA

Basic Function: To manage the LA team and support the Vice President as well as the bi-coastal VIP services team in executing and facilitating celebrity requests and initiatives for clients. Working directly with select account on VIP needs, events, celebrity media, strategies, etc.

Essential duties:

VIP Day-To-Day

  • Search for celebrity images on a continuous and frequent basis
       - Search for product loaned directly from showroom, in any category
  • Work with the team to facilitate celebrity requests and returns
       - Help with any major stylist pulls
  • All requests should be pre-approved so you know what brands to offer
       - Work with coordinator on any past due loans or “issues” end of each week
  • Oversee all celebrity gifting, and coordinate/delegate to AE, Assistant and intern to complete within a specific time frame
  • Pro-actively split upcoming red-carpet events lists with team to outreach
  • Strategic planning, events and conference calls for select clients
  • Provide managerial support to coordinators, assistant and interns
       - Oversee the assistant in organizing a yearly calendar of all events to be updated weekly ie. press appearances, upcoming movies, festivals, red carpet events
  • Support VP with new business proposals as needed
  • Manage all thank yous to stylists, publicists, and others

Editorial / Blogger

  • Pitch client VIP placements and trend stories to celeb media (weekly, online, broadcast, etc.)
       - Oversee adding client credits online and in weeklies, as well as getting all print
  • Continue to build regional editorial relationships and work with NY teams when necessary to schedule meetings with LA clients
  • Continue to build on LA blogger relationships and support the NY Digital team for gifting, events, etc. when necessary

Clothing & Accessory Accounts

  • Oversee all inventory which will be managed day-to-day by Assistant
  • Approve all monthly reports
  • Send out VIP media alerts and clippings for select accounts
  • Build relationships with stylists, editors and other celebrity influencers

Qualifications

  • At least 4 years’ experience of public relations work in the fashion industry, at least 1 year experience in VIP dressing
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Excellent writing and communication skills
  • Ability to manage several clients and their needs
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Familiarity with Fashion GPS, Celebrity Intelligence and IDS is preferred
