You know it's a big deal when the Fashionista team starts a group email to notify everyone about an anticipated Reformation sale. Well, folks, the time has come, and we have all made our picks of which discounted goodies to stock up on. My choice? A bowling shirt that brings back memories of my fifth birthday, which — spoiler alert — took place at a bowling alley. (RIP Holly Bowl.)
While Reformation is known for its vintage-inspired dresses, I always find myself turning to the retailer brand's comfy sweatshirts and lightweight T-shirts. This Kingpin top, with its embroidery type and tongue-in-cheek phrase "Spare me the details" emblazoned on the back, is a nice alternative to the endless rotation of graphic tees I find myself wearing during the warmer months. I love how Reformation styled it with a pair of high-waisted jeans, but I could also see myself wearing the top with matching black trousers, or even a pair of khaki-colored Dickies and Vans sneakers for a laid-back workwear look.
Decades later, I'm still always down for a bowling night. (Seriously, hit me up.) And this shirt will certainly fuel my competitive spirit. Anyone want to go to the Gutter tonight?
Reformation Kingpin top, $67 (from $168), available at Reformation.
