I am on what seems to be a never-ending search for the right bag. I don't feel like my specifications are that insane: I want something that's ethically made and sturdy, fits my DSLR and a novel and still doesn't read as a "big" bag to onlookers. My favorite purse that fits all of these specifications is a vintage one that my mom picked up for me at a thrift store, and while I love it, it doesn't quite go with everything in my wardrobe. I have a couple passable but not especially cute black options, but recently it has felt most pressing to add a white one that will work with the white sneakers I wear all the time.
It's this set of desires that has led to me eyeing this bucket bag. Made by ethical brand Behno and found on Joon + Co., a newly launched e-tailer for ethical fashion goods, I like that I can trust the people behind the bag. The design is a nice balance of classic with just enough of a twist to feel unique, and most importantly, I'm pretty sure this thing is big enough for my DSLR (!). Can I get both a camera and a book in there? I'm not sure yet, but if I see this puppy IRL and find out that I can, I may just have to pull the trigger.
Behno bucket bag, $375, available at Joon + Co.
