There are more options available in the realm of ethically and sustainably made clothing now than ever before, and that's definitely something to be excited about. But that doesn't change the fact that many brands that fall into that category still err on the side of hippie-dippie, boho-breezy designs. While that's totally a valid aesthetic choice, it is not the aesthetic choice I personally want to make most days, which is why I was so happy to come across this skirt from ethical luxury brand Breelayne.

With an asymmetrical hem, silver detailing and a pocket vaguely reminiscent of a military uniform, this skirt feels like it would fit better in a neon-lit Lower East Side bar than it would in a field full of daisies. And considering the fact that I have about a million other ethical brands I can turn to when I want to feel like an organic-vegetable-loving earth goddess, that's a very good thing in my mind. Catch me wearing this with a pair of chunky boots and a mesh turtleneck just as soon as I can get my hands on it.
