8 Breakout Trends from Milan Fashion Week
While Alyssa and Tyler are getting ready for Paris, it's time to look back on the highlights from Milan. Believe it or not, there were a few noteworthy moments aside from the supermodel Gianni Versace tribute. Read on to check out what Milan wants us to watch out for come spring.
SOFT SEQUINS

Milan designers took "soft sequinning" (we stand by this oxymoron) to extremes, and not just for dresses. Expect to see paillettes on just about everything.
BLACK & WHITE
For every trendy color (especially that ubiquitous millennial pink), we also spotted at least one black and white look — including full sections of them during some shows. Can't go wrong with a classic.
PENCIL SKIRTS
Not always restricted to the sexy librarian look (though there was some of that, too), the pencil skirt was a favorite amongst designers in Milan.
TIERS
Tiered skirts came in all colors and sizes in Milan.

If you are unable to decide what to put on in the morning, this trend will give you options.
GREEN
Coming in all kinds of hues and tints, green is the color of the season — at least as far as Milan is concerned.
DENIM

(L-R): Max Mara, Annakiki, Rosella Jardini, Atsushi Nakashima and Simonetta Ravizza. Photos: Imaxtree
Milan designers took all-over denim looks far beyond the Canadian Tuxedo.
FANNY PACK
You know the saying, "three's a trend"? Well, mark down Milan as the third city to jump on the fanny-pack bandwagon. And we have to say that we appreciate the variety coming from the Italian city.
