As Milan Fashion Week came to a close over the weekend, the show schedule was packed with memorable runway moments, from a supermodel reunion at Versace to a secret and public millennial-focused collection from Dolce & Gabbana. When it comes to showgoers' outfits, however, a very specific print proved to be a popular choice: polka dots. We predicted that this spotted motif would be an "It" item among the street style crowd, and while we expected polka dots to cover billowy blouses and vintage-style dresses, the pattern — particularly in black and white — was seen on jumpsuits, jackets and flowing skirts, too. Now that fall is officially here, perhaps it's time to stash your striped shirts and stock up on polka dots instead.
