19 Standout Nail Looks From New York Fashion Week
Nails at New York Fashion Week's Spring 2018 season were notably loud as manicurists traded the understated elegance of a finger dipped in nude for fingertips punctuated with bright pops of color. We suppose the captivating nail art had something to do with the florescent-toned, sequin-scattered collections that made their way down the Spring 2018 runways. Either way, nails were elevated to out-of-the-box art projects this season.
At Jeremy Scott's show, nail artists experimented with full-finger manicures by dusting an inch of glitter below the nail. At less shimmery collections — Kith, 3.1 Phillip Lim, Monse, Tibi — nails were decorated with varsity-inspired stripes to throw some cool graphic punches. Master of color, Christian Siriano, complimented his exuberant spring line with playful nail designs in bright polishes. While Alice + Olivia offset her pattern-heavy pieces with a clean teal-tipped French Mani. Then there were those, like Naeem Khan, who took nails to the next dimension of glam by creating a cascading silver and crystal jeweled pattern on a silver base nail. The manicure mantra this spring? More is more!
