New York Fashion Week is officially in full swing. From our list of "It" items to watch, we're already checking off a street style favorite: plaid blazers. The fashion crowd swapped their leather moto jackets for a more polished form of outerwear on Thursday, and we loved the varied approaches to styling the fall must-have. We spotted an hourglass-shaped design by Demna Gvasalia for Balenciaga, as well a belted-at-the-waist technique for a similar silhouette. Other showgoers opted for a two-piece set in plaid, from a fitted-jacket-and-skirt combo to a super-oversized ensemble with hints of floral details for a cool contrast. If you don't already have a plaid blazer in your wardrobe, consider this visual proof that you need one ASAP.
