While the (official) first day of New York Fashion Week brought us plenty of polished blazers, the second day of showgoers opted for pretty printed dresses instead. Florals, stripes and subtle plaid covered a slew of mid-to-maxi-length dresses, along with added details like puffed-up sleeves, ruffles, pleats and large buttons. Are dresses the new statement pieces? They just might be for fall. Although, the fashion crowd's choice of accessories — structured handbags, layered jewelry, sock-style boots and even a few casual pairs of sneakers and slides — still grabbed our attention.
