Virgil Abloh's Off-White may have started as a favorite amongst sneakerheads and hypebeasts, but it's not just the street that Abloh looks to for inspiration. In his Spring 2018 collection, Abloh tapped the late Princess Diana as a muse.

In the 20 years since her death in a tragic car accident, the "People's Princess" has lived on in pop culture memory — and so has her style, which featured everything from numerous power-shouldered blazers to ladylike dresses.

But it was Princess Diana's favorite leisure look that Abloh used to close his Spring 2018 show in Paris: a pair of bike shorts. While Princess Di frequently paired hers with oversize sweatshirts, sneakers and white socks, Abloh styled his pink pair with a white asymmetrical blazer top and pointy stilettos. The tribute to Diana's iconic look was made by none other than Naomi Campbell, who is of course an icon in her own right. Talk about going out with a bang.
