There's nothing like channeling your inner rock star in patent leather pants, shiny trench coats and tight vinyl dresses. And over the past week, several celebrities did just that in many Posh Spice-inspired, lustrous looks.

For Spring 2018, designers embraced high-shine iterations of leather; and as stars migrated from awards shows to honorary dinners to the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund presentation in Los Angeles, they too endorsed the extra-glossy hide. While the slick trend can conjure up BDSM imagery — these famous party-goers offset the material's subversiveness with some feminine footwear and dewy makeup looks: There was "Stranger Things" breakout cutie Millie Bobbie Brown in her shiny leather Calvin Klein long-sleeve dress, Bella Hadid in an orange-accented sheeny Chanel trench, Teyana Taylor in a sleek cut-out dress courtesy of Chromat, Kaia Gerber's legs in shiny, ultra-skinny pants and Jennifer Connelly in a glossy vinyl Louis Vuitton top.

Meanwhile, Stella Maxwell, Serayah and Julianne Moore veered off the PVC path, but still glistened in sequin dresses. On a less shiny level, another "Stranger Things" cutie, Caleb McLaughlin, added a little bling to a black Thom Browne shorts suit with a brooch.

So if you're in the mood to cover yourself in vinyl this weekend — it is Halloween after all — then click through the gallery below for some patent inspo from the best-dressed ladies (and a 16-year-old boy) in the biz.
