As a member of the Brand Communication team of The Americas you will be based in NYC and reporting directly to the NY-based PR Manager. You will be responsible for aiding in the delivery of the company brand communication objectives. You will act as a guardian and ambassador for the brand at all times to ensure that PR activities deliver commercial results for the brand and adhere to the global brand vision for Ted Baker. 3-5 years of related fashion PR experience required.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Pitching to media
  • Event coordination for seasonal press launch events
  • Project coordination for seasonal press deliveries and initiatives
  • Influencer marketing coordination
  • Sample coordination and tracking of live product
  • Facilitate PR requests across all Ted Stores in the Americas
  • Line manager to PR Assistant
  • PR lead for store openings as assigned

Job Responsibilities:

Maintain an in-depth understanding of Ted Baker in the following areas:

  • Knowledge of Ted’s product offerings
  • Knowledge of Ted’s US retail environment
  • Knowledge of Ted’s brand culture and narrative

Solid understanding of and interest in the fashion and creative industries:

  • Awareness of innovative developments within the fashion, media and entertainment industry of potential relevance to the business
  • Awareness of new communication channels & innovations – press, broadcast and digital media
  • Awareness of Ted’s key contemporaries through research both online & in the field

Team Work

  • Deliver PR brand communication objectives
  • Attend and contribute to weekly team meetings as appropriate
  • Attend events & store openings held seasonally

Project & Budget Accountability (Where Relevant)

  • Be accountable for the timely delivery of projects and management of associated budgets
  • Ensure all allocated projects and activities have a written plan which outlines:
       - Objectives, strategy, tactics, timings, budget, and measures of success.

Tools if the Trade:

  • Event planning
  • Strong editorial relationships
  • Blogger relationships
  • Highly organized and efficient with ‘can do’ proactive & enthusiastic attitude
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects
  • Sound working knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Photoshop and Outlook
