Temperatures finally started to drop this week, so the stars decided to turn up the heat in fiery red looks. The fervent shade dominated the red carpet, with celebrities such as Carey Mulligan, Mandy Moore and Dakota Johnson wearing head-to-toe crimson, cherry and scarlet to the Annual Hollywood Film Awards and to the Patron of the Artists Awards. From a sleek Calvin Klein suit to a ruffled Johanna Ortiz number, these actresses topped our best dressed lists for their commitment to the vibrant color.

In addition to sporting bold monochromatic looks in red, other red carpet-goers explored the color's adjacent rainbow buds: Paloma Elsesser attended the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund awards in a slinky bright orange Adam Selman dress and Kate Bosworth was spotted out in New York City in some sunny yellow Oscar de la Renta pants. Meanwhile, Chloë Grace Moretz wore a Victoria Beckham suit in a shade from red's softer sister, pink. Thus, this week proved that celebrities are not letting the cold, dark winter months drag them into a series of all-black ensembles.
